We may use personal information collected via this website to:

  • Display a message that you have submitted to a private or public online Funeral Notice

If you make an enquiry or use our Funeral Notice service we may use your personal information as necessary to comply with legal obligations by:

Disclosures

We may share your details with local funeral directors and selected third parties that help us and the local funeral directors provide a service to you. One such example is Twilio, who provide telephone numbers and communications solutions to funeral directors. By consenting to these terms you consent to our sharing your data with Twilio to allow us and funeral directors to provide services to you.

We will not pass on your personal information to any third parties not referred to in these terms, except where we have your consent to do this, or it is otherwise compliant with the Data Protection Act 2018.

International Transfers

From time to time we shall share your personal data with a third party who may have a need to store it outside of the Economic Area (EEA). If we do so we will always ensure that as much protection as is reasonably practical is provided for your data and that any international activity is GDPR compliant.

Retention

Funeral Notice

Where you have created an online funeral notice or submitted a message or Memory to a private or public online funeral notice:

  • Information collected will appear online until you request that your information is removed, the family associated with the funeral notice requests that it is removed or 14 months after the creation of the funeral notice. If the funeral notice is removed, all information relating to the funeral notice will be deleted after 90 days.
  • Your email address will be deleted 30 days from input

Your rights as a data subject

At any point while we are in possession of or processing your personal information, you, the data subject, have the following rights:

  • Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you
  • Right of rectification – you have a right to correct information that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete
